Living the Dream.

Daily Grind

Every day I wake up with something in the back of my mind.  It never leaves.  Some may have this when they get hired with a company or start their own business.  Some may have this when they are in school and need to study.  Although I have experienced those mind stressing thoughts at certain stages in my life, this is something completely different.  This has been with me since the age of 10 when I first picked up a basketball... ok ok, maybe not 10, but definitely 12.  It is the feeling that I need to be doing something at this very moment.  The feeling that when the next season comes I must be and will be ready for the long haul.  And then the feeling just stays, and continues to stay. It has its ups and downs but there is always a sense of it there.  It’s what drives me.  No matter where I travel to, what I do, this feeling in the back of my mind stays with me.   I think most athletes have it.  They must.  The knowing that if they aren’t doing something at this particular moment to help improve where they stand then they are going in the wrong direction.   It’s what drives me to be successful.

My name is Casey Archibald and this is my official website.  I originally started this site as a way of keeping tabs on past seasons just for myself.  It was in a sense my own scrapbook... online.  I have since decided to use this is an outlet for all the other thoughts that help me stay sane besides ball.  It will serve as a place for me to write freely on matters that hit home with me, or simply a place to ramble.  It will basically be a microcosm of all things me.  Enjoy.
